I’m the owner of Honnomushi Cat Bookshop, an independent bookshop inspired by my lifelong love for Japanese and South Korean literature, novels, and culture. I’ve always been passionate about stories that transport us to new worlds and allow us to explore different perspectives. This bookshop is my way of sharing that passion with others who, like me, find joy and connection through reading.
My love for Japanese literature began in my teenage years when I first read Kafka on the Shore by Haruki Murakami and Battle Royale by Koushun Takami. Though these two books are so different from each other—one being surreal and introspective, the other intense and action-packed—they both captivated me and sparked my lifelong fascination with Asian literature.
